Letter from the CEO Dear Friends of Together Center, This project has been the honor and the adventure of a lifetime. We have been meeting with folks interested in replicating this model of robust human services for all and affordable housing on one site. As we share tips and offer our best counsel to jurisdictions, churches, and other nonprofits looking to use their land for social purposes, we have found that there are a few essential characteristics for a successful development. We think of this as a team event – an ultra-marathon hurdling, obstacle course – that we, the Together Center development team, must all complete together. There is constant problem-solving, brainstorming, negotiation, creativity, discussion, and many days, most importantly, a sense of humor! | |
